Animals are family too!
When Jess and Ben booked their pre-wedding photo shoot with me they asked, “can we bring our dog and our horse?” Of course my answer was a very excitable YES! I absolutely love dogs and I had never done a shoot with a horse before so I was very keen and my mind raced with ideas for this very special occasion. Unfortunately Rio, the horse, didn’t fancy coming along to Idless Woods as he’s not a fan of travelling so we carried on without him. Animals are family too and although we had a great time in the woods with Kali the sproodle, Jess and Ben decided to book in a second photo shoot with me so that they could get some nice photos of the four of them together.
For this second photo shoot I travelled to the farm where Rio lives, so he didn’t have to get on the road himself. The farm is a place that Jess spends a lot of her time, she has worked with Rio for ten years and the two of them have developed a very special bond over the years. Rio the appaloosa, had a great time on his professional photoshoot, soaking up all the love and attention he was getting. It was clear to see how important Rio is to Jess.
I really enjoyed spending some more time with Ben and Jess and I feel like I’ve got to know them both really well during these two photo shoots leading up to their wedding day. Having a friendly, positive and communicative relationship with the couples I photograph really makes all the difference on the wedding day.
